The Safe MEWP SS01-G Safe Step Attachment is an operator access step designed to fit Genie GS1932 models and below. It is intended to aid operators when accessing hard-to-reach areas such as HVAC units and false ceilings, allowing safer positioning when working at height.
The SS01-G fits in minutes and is designed for single-person use. When fitted to the machine, the MEWP becomes zero wind rated, and the platform safe working load must be reduced in accordance with guidance. The attachment applies weight directly through the deck as required by legislation and does not apply undue force to MEWP handrails.
The step provides a base height of 480 mm with extended guardrails reaching 1160 mm. A spring-loaded gate and latch help maintain controlled access, while folding rails drop when not in use to allow movement through doorways and tight spaces. A secure docking position is provided for the machine control box during use.
